Tested title IDs and game versions

Identifier typeTested value

Title IDCUSA01715
Game version01.00
Game version01.02

The README lists CUSA01623 and CUSA01715, and 01.00 and 01.02, as tested. The game version describes your game data; the port version in the title area describes the program you downloaded.

Full 1.02 update: known startup crash

The current release notes list a startup crash with the full 1.02 update whose game executable has this SHA256 prefix:

eboot.bin: 6e72330e...

Its log shows:

Fault: write access to 0000000000007458 at ntdll.dll
STOP: guest raised debug exception code=0xa0020014

The upstream investigation is ongoing. If your full update matches this case and fails, keep the original folder intact and use the failure-report checklist with your detected ID, version and log. Preserve an existing working folder while checking a separate update.

Check the folder you already have

Open the launcher’s Game page. If Update folder already has a path, record it so you can restore it, then temporarily clear the Update folder field. Next choose Game folder / Browse… and select the folder containing:

eboot.bin
sce_module/
sce_sys/

Return to Home and read the title ID and game version beside the cover. With Update folder empty, these values describe your selected Game folder. When a valid separate update is selected, Home displays the update’s ID and version instead. Compare the Game folder’s values with the tested lists above. If the folder is rejected or its details look wrong, check your own dump records and folder contents before changing settings.

After checking the folder, restore the update you want to use with the steps below before pressing PLAY. If you still have your own PKG instead of this folder, continue with extraction below.

Extract your own PKG

Already have a game folder with the files above? Skip extraction and return to installation. If your own copy is still a PKG, use the extractor author’s documented workflow, then check the output before selecting it in the port.

What input can be extracted?

Start with your own PKG in a format supported by the extractor. These steps follow the extractor’s documentation and have not been tested with God of War III Remastered. If the tool rejects your input, stop and check the tool’s instructions and your own dump records.

Use the tool maintainer’s instructions

Use AzaharPlus/shadPS4Plus, the standalone extractor maintained by its author. Open its README for the current program and usage instructions.

The command takes your own PKG path, followed by a separate output directory. A Windows example is:

.\pkg_extractor.exe "D:\MyDump\game.pkg" "D:\MyDump\extracted"

Replace the example paths with your own. The tool creates a title-ID folder inside that output location; an update uses a folder name ending in:

-patch

You can also drag your own PKG onto the Windows extractor. That form extracts beside the input file.

Check the extracted folder and separate update

Open the created game folder and check for the three entries in Check the folder you already have. Choose that folder in Game / Game folder in the port launcher. For a separately extracted update, follow Use a separate update folder below to select Game / Update folder, keep the base and update folders separate, or leave the update field empty if the game folder already contains the update.

Check the detected ID and version using the tested lists above, then return to installation. If extraction failed or the required files are missing, resolve the tool’s error before trying to launch the port.

Use a separate update folder

If you extracted your base game and update separately:

  1. Select the base under Game / Game folder.

  2. Select the update under Game / Update folder, or restore the update path you recorded if you want to use it again. Its folder must contain:

    eboot.bin
    sce_sys/

  3. Click Save, return to Home and check the displayed update version before pressing PLAY.

The launcher reads the update over the base while keeping both original folders intact. If your game folder already contains the update, leave Update folder empty.

Return to installation, or use the Linux steps.
